Clean Water Services is a wastewater and storm water public utility committed to protecting water resources in Oregon’s Tualatin River Watershed. With the expansion of their role in improving water quality throughout their service area, CWS was in need of a major site expansion including a new Field Operations Headquarters, a new bus servicing area, fleet parking, and related site amenities.
The Field Operations Headquarters features simple, durable materials not only for a clean contemporary look, but also to minimize material use and maintenance cost. Building massing, orientation, and fenestration provide daylight to most occupied spaces. As you would expect from a water quality organization, the site work includes lush storm water treatment swales, test areas of permeable vehicle paving, drought-tolerant landscaping, and one of the region’s first green roofs.
