PIVOT worked with the City of Corvallis on improvements to the Corvallis Community Center and adjacent park. The improvements of both a 2,400-SF addition to and 11,500-SF renovation of the existing building included two large classrooms. As the majority of the mechanical systems were upgraded or replaced, the design improved the building’s energy efficiency, increased its longevity, and better integrated the facility with the surrounding park and neighborhood. The improved building included ADA upgrades, a prominent entry that connected the primary street, parking lot, and park entrance as well as a community garden, and storm water swales. The park improvements included playground upgrades and new pickle ball and beach volleyball courts.
