PIVOT revisited Lane Transit District's Eugene Station at the heart of downtown Eugene with a modernization project that upgraded security, accessibility, and other amenities to better serve the community.
Security improvements include bolstering the customer service area which also allows for more capacity and accessibility. New private, single-user restrooms add accessible stalls. LED lighting and high-efficiency HVAC upgrades include new gas boilers, cooling towers, and water source heat pumps that enhance indoor air quality and improve energy performance. Improved back-lit wayfinding signage helps riders find their way day or night.
The improvements will allow the nearly 30-year-old station, which PIVOT designed in the ’90s, to serve the District and the community well into the future.
