PUBLIC EDUCATION BENEFITS US ALL
As longtime supporters of public education, at PIVOT Architecture we appreciate how important school facilities are for the community. As volunteers, parent leaders, spouses of teachers, and active participants in school culture, we have a vested interest in making schools a success because we believe public education makes society better as a whole.

NEW SCHOOLS
Developing a new school requires a solid understanding of a district’s priorities, detailed planning and coordination, understanding of current education standards, and an experienced, robust team to pull it all together. PIVOT takes pride in the fact that the schools we’ve designed are important components of the community and helps the district engage with neighborhood groups, and other interested parties, with clear graphics and comprehensive coordination.

SCHOOL RENOVATIONS
Some school districts have access to robust funding for their renovations and others receive a smaller allocation to modify their facilities. PIVOT works closely with our team and the school district to develop a scope of work that identifies the most pressing needs and develops cost-effective solutions to ensure that the facilities will meet the districts’ needs for years to come.

BOND PLANNING
The PIVOT team has a deep understanding of the facility planning process and how to forge a connection from that process to the community. As skilled communicators, we excel at presenting compelling information to voters and interested parties—whether it is with in-person public engagement or presenting information virtually over video platforms. PIVOT has been instrumental in bond elections for new and remodeled school facilities for a number of school districts.

ASSESSMENTS AND INSPECTIONS
PIVOT is an ODE-certified TAP assessor and has performed inspections for a number of school Districts. These assessments allow our team to help districts plot out a roadmap for the future of their facilities and create a plan of action for their most crucial needs. Our assessments are clear, thorough, and adhere to ODE guidelines allowing for easy grant requirement submissions.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
In addition to our planning, assessment, architectural, and interior design services, PIVOT has helped school districts with communication and public relations, graphic design, event planning, social media, and other services. At the Howard and River Road elementary schools, PIVOT took a leading role in coordinating the grand opening back-to school-events when the schools opened. This included an in-depth, architect-led tour of the schools and creation of a bilingual self-led tour flyer.
