River Road Elementary Grand Opening

River Road Elementary Open House

Fall is here which means school is back in session.

And students at River Road Elementary School have a new light-filled, sustainable, state-of-the-art building and we want to share it with the community.

Join us on Thursday, October 5 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the neighborhood school building with a ribbon cutting, student performances and refreshments. PIVOT will be conducting architect-led tour of the school to tell the community about its innovative indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

New Faces at PIVOT

PIVOT is welcoming some new faces this summer, all of whom are associated with the University of Oregon’s School of Architecture and Allied Arts.

Sam Slack and Francisco Toledo are recent BARCH graduates and are joining the firm full time. Charlena Kea and Hank Huang are current undergraduates at UO and are summer interns. Clay Neal is our inaugural 2017 PIVOT Architecture Fellow. He is preparing to finish his MARCH degree in the spring of 2018.

To get them oriented, we took them on a tour of some of our projects, which included EWEB’s Roosevelt Operations Center, Howard Elementary School, and Lane Transit District’s Willow Creek facility, which is under construction.
